A small business website is the set of pages that tells customers, Google and AI assistants who you are, what you do, where you do it and how to reach you.
That sounds basic. Most small business sites still get it wrong. They load slowly on a phone, they bury the phone number, they have one “Services” page that tries to cover ten jobs, and nobody can tell how many calls the site actually produced. We build sites that fix those four problems first.
What you get for the starting price
The starting package is built for owner-operated businesses that need a real site, not a brochure.
- Up to about eight pages. Home, a page for each core service, about, contact and one or two supporting pages. Each service gets its own page because that is how people search: “transmission repair Pompano Beach,” not “services.”
- Google Business Profile cleanup. Categories, hours, service area, services list, photos and a link back to the right page. Your website and your Google profile should say the same thing.
- Tracking that works. Calls, form submissions and direction clicks, measured from launch day.
- One review push. We set up a simple way for your team to ask recent customers for a review, following Google’s and the FTC’s rules.
- Two to three weeks. Most sites go live inside that window.
Add a full version in another language, such as Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole, for $500 per language. In South Florida, a large share of customers will read it.
Why we care so much about tracking
I learned this one the hard way at my own shop. When I audited the Enthusiast Auto Works site, Google Analytics had stopped recording and the contact form was sending lead emails nowhere. The site looked fine. Leads were coming in and disappearing. Nobody knew because nobody was measuring.
That is why every site we build ships with tracking tested on day one. We submit the forms ourselves, call the tracked numbers, and confirm each one shows up where it should. If a lead goes missing, you find out that week, not that year.
How we build it
- Kickoff call. We go through your services, service area, best customers and what you want more of. We ask for licenses, photos and any certifications up front.
- Site map and copy. We write the pages. Each service page answers the questions people actually ask before they call: what it costs to get started, how long it takes, what you need to bring.
- Design and build. Clean layout, fast load, phone number and booking button visible on every screen size.
- Search setup. Page titles, descriptions, structured data (schema) for your business type and FAQs, a sitemap and a clean submission to Google Search Console.
- Google profile cleanup. We match your profile to the site and fix what is wrong or missing.
- Tracking test. Every form, every call button, every booking link, tested end to end.
- Launch and handoff. You get the logins, a short walkthrough and a list of what to watch for in the first 30 days.
Built for AI search too
More people now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google’s AI Overviews for a recommendation instead of scrolling a list of links. Those tools pull from pages that state facts plainly: what you do, where, for whom, and answers to common questions.
So we write that way. Each page opens with a clear one-line definition of the service, uses real headings, and includes a short FAQ section marked up with schema. Nobody controls what an AI tool says. Clear, structured pages raise the odds yours is the business it names. Our AI search (GEO) service goes deeper on this.
What a real project looks like
At Gold Coast Collision Center in Pompano Beach, we built a bilingual English and Spanish site, rebuilt the shop’s Google Business Profile and ran a front-desk review campaign where the team called every recent customer, with no incentives. The shop’s Google rating went from 4.4 to 4.7 in one week. The website alone did not do that. The website, the profile and the review system working together did. Read the Gold Coast case study.
Starting package vs. a typical template site
| Typical template site | F&K Consulting Group website | |
|---|---|---|
| Service pages | One combined page | One page per core service |
| Google Business Profile | Left as is | Cleaned up and matched to the site |
| Call and form tracking | Often missing or untested | Set up and tested before launch |
| Other languages | Translation plugin, if any | Real pages per language (+$500 each) |
| FAQ and schema markup | Rare | Included on key pages |
| Review system | Not included | One review push included |
| Ownership | Sometimes tied to the builder | Domain, content and logins in your name |
Who this is a good fit for
- Service businesses with a phone number that matters: auto shops, contractors, restaurants, salons, medical and professional offices, trades.
- Owners whose current site is old, slow, or built by someone they can no longer reach.
- Businesses serving English and Spanish speakers.
- Anyone who has a website and cannot answer the question “how many calls did it bring in last month?”
It is probably not a fit if you need a large online store with hundreds of products. We will tell you that on the first call.
After launch
A website is the foundation. It does not keep itself fresh. Many clients move onto our monthly Grow plan, from $750 a month, which covers Google Business Profile posts, the review system, two new guides a month, AI-search upkeep and a monthly report on calls and leads. Others take the site and run with it. Both are fine.
If you want the ongoing work, see Google Business Profile and local SEO and reviews and reputation.
Next step
Book a short call. Tell us what you do, where you do it and what your current site is or is not doing. We will tell you plainly whether the starting package fits, what a language add-on would look like for your customers, and how fast we can have you live.
